Climate change lurks in the woods

Climate change is not all about rising sea levels, increased storm activity. It may literally sneak up on you in the woods and eat you alive - well at least the trees anyway.

The Pine Bark Beetle outbreak and spread is attributed to changing climate and it seems it has gotten out of its native range, its normal cycles and its normal role being part of a restorative ecosystem - it is now threatening our landscape and there is no stopping it.
